last night we had a visitor from through the tunnel (piat, who now resides in pleasant hill) and he brought the gift of laughter! he showed us batting stance guy, a guy who can imitate batting stances of various baseball players, past and present, even in their different eras (eg, manny in Cleavland vs. manny now).
the clip is funny and we watched some additional clips (famous giants and a’s, duh). bbg and piat loved it so much, they laughed til they cried. i’ll admit, though, that some of it was lost on me. guess i’m still a level one baseball fan (i would’ve read moneyball but my copy was stolen!). but if you’re a big baseball nerd like piat and bbg, then you’ll cry too (for many reasons beyond this clip).
also, what’s up with the outfit? i cant decide if i approve or not. on the one hand, it’s david letterman, show some respect. at least wear some pants! on the other, the guy’s claim to fame is imitating batting stances. love or hate? unsure.
his website is hella developed, which is sort of surprising. you’d think it would just be a youtube channel, but no!
